Preliminary Task, Filming

Before filming we had already storyboarded so we were prepared for the time we had to film. All of us knew what we was filming, directing and lip synching. As we was trying to recreate a similar version of the Britney Spears music video we was making sure that it was similar by watching it over and over again. To make it realistic we used similar angles (low and high), shots (wide, mid and close up), mise-en-scene and lighting. For filming we used artificial lighting so that it matched the actual version of Britney Spears. We tried to get the dance routine similar to Britney but this was hard to get exactly right. Whilst filming we had to refer back to the actual music video as we had forgot how to do some of the dance and people was unsure what they had to sing. During the filming process the storyboard helped all of us a lot as we was able to refer back to it and we could see which role everyone was doing. Doing the Preliminary Task has helped me significantly as I got the idea the amount of work which is going to be involved and what will help me when doing my A2 music video.
